Monomoy Megalodons hold an evening of service

The Monomoy Regional Middle School Megalodons, a positive role model leadership group, comprised of members of the Animal Rights Club, FOR Club, National Junior Honor Society, Student Council, Shark Tank Enterprises, and Human Rights Academy, spent three hours after school on January 30 working hard for the benefit of our community.

Students engaged in a number of service projects, including making bagged lunches and packaging toiletries for the St. Joseph’s House Homeless Shelter, making Valentine's Day cards for local nursing home residents, planning for a Valentine’s Day visit to local nursing homes, and making posters and public service announcements for the upcoming “Walk for Water” project to fund hand washing/water collection stations in Kenya. The students celebrated their hard work by enjoying a spaghetti supper together at the end of the evening.

Monomoy Middle School thanks all who donated toiletries, as well as the teachers who supported this event.
