Betty Gray appointed to Monomoy Regional School Committee

Betty GrayJanuary 23, 2023 – The Chatham Select Board has appointed Betty Gray to fill the open Chatham seat on the Monomoy Regional School Committee. The unexpired seat was available due to the resignation of Nancy Scott, who moved out of Chatham. Gray, a resident of Chatham for many years, has been a human resources professional for nearly 30 years and has two children attending Monomoy schools.

“The Monomoy Regional School Committee thanks Nancy Scott for her many years of service to the students, staff, families, and residents of our community,” said MRSC Chair Jackie Zibrat-Long. “Nancy was one of the original members of the board, having been elected to the very first Monomoy Regional School Committee in 2011. She helped shepherd the fledgling regional district through its early years, and the entire Monomoy community owes her a debt of gratitude.”

“We are excited to welcome Betty Gray to the School Committee to fill Nancy’s seat,” said Zibrat-Long, “as she brings a wealth of experience in human resources along with a fresh perspective. We thank her for stepping up to fill this important role and look forward to working with her.”

Gray was sworn in in December 2022 to complete the term, which expires in May 2023.
