Brighten the spirits of Monomoy youngsters with rainbows and bears
The staff of Monomoy Regional School District is encouraging parents, caregivers, and community members to help engage our younger students with local, visual scavenger hunts. While everyone is staying at home and practicing safe social and physical distancing, many children are taking daily family walks to get fresh air and exercise. Children are looking for rainbows and teddy bears in the windows of homes they walk or drive past. If you would like to participate in this easy, sweet effort, you can make/draw/paint a rainbow and put it in your window, or let your stuffed bear say hello from inside too! Families can go on a Bear Hunt or a Rainbow Scavenger Hunt -- or both -- while practicing safe social distancing, of course! This is a great way to help the community feel connected during this challenging time.
