MRHS Summer School 2019

  • Monomoy Regional High School will be offering credit recovery Summer School classes for students who have failed one or more required courses. In addition, students wishing to take individual courses for personal enrichment are welcome as well! (Exception: students cannot take enrichment courses that are taught here at MRHS.)

Summer School is a blended learning model where students will have 37.5 classroom hours, along with 18 hours of independent study. Students will be required to bring headphones for the computer lab.

The schedule for summer school is as follows: July 16-August 15, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 8:30 to 11:00 a.m. Students and parents will meet at 8:30 a.m. on the first day of the summer session (7/16) for a 20-minute orientation meeting where parent/guardian attendance is mandatory to discuss academic, behavioral, and attendance expectations. Parents may leave after the meeting, and students will begin classes.

The cost for each course is $200 for Monomoy students and $300 for out-of-district participants. Please contact the Director if you would like to discuss payment options. A total of 30 seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, thus you should act quickly.

Checks should be made out to Monomoy Regional School District.

Betsy Casey, Guidance Administrative Assistant, will be in the office on June 24, 27, 28, and July 1, 2, 3 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to accept all required registration materials and payment.

Jonathan Bennett, Summer School Director, will be in the office on Monday, July 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for course registration or summer school questions.

**It will be the responsibility of the Non-MRHS student to verify that the credit recovery course he/she will be taking will be accepted by his/her home school and if credit will be awarded to the student.**

If you have any questions, please contact Jonathan M. Bennett, M.Ed., School Counselor and Summer School Director, at (508) 430-7200 or jbennett@monomoy.edu.
