Monomoy Regional School District announces appointment of Interim Principal at Monomoy Middle School

Monomoy Regional School District has announced the appointment of an Interim Principal at Monomoy Regional Middle School. Current Monomoy Regional Middle School Assistant Principal Sean Dutch, Ed.D., has been named as Interim Principal, following the departure of Principal Abigail Dudley. Dr. Dutch joined Monomoy Middle School in 2023 as Assistant Principal and holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership. Simultaneously, a screening committee composed of faculty and staff, parents and caregivers, and community members is being formed to move ahead with the process of selecting the school’s next principal.

“With the start of the school year approaching, we wanted to ensure that Monomoy Middle School was best able to fully serve students and staff, and knew it was important to have an Interim Principal in place while the principal search process proceeded,” said Monomoy Superintendent Robin A. Millen, Ed.D. “Sean has been an integral part of the MRMS leadership team since 2023 and is well positioned to seamlessly step into the Interim Principal role. By naming an Interim Principal, it allows the important work of the school to move ahead, while the search process is fully conducted with fidelity.”

The screening committee will conduct a thorough review and interview process in the coming weeks. Dr. Dutch’s term as Interim Principal is effective immediately.
