Monomoy Regional High School inducts new members of the National Honor Society
The Monomoy Regional High School chapter of the National Honor Society has announced its newest members, following an extensive review process by the Faculty Council. Students in the Class of 2027 and 2028 were invited to apply to NHS based on a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.7. The application process offered students the opportunity to share about their activities and write a personal essay. The Faculty Council reviewed these materials based on the NHS pillars of scholarship, leadership, service, and character, and selected the candidates. Many thanks to the Faculty Council for their time and thoughtfulness through this important process.
The new members were inducted at a ceremony on May 20, 2026, which included a keynote address from MRSD Assistant Superintendent Robin Millen, a candle-lighting ceremony led by current NHS officers Jillian Dittrich, Abigail Meyer, Joseph Ventura, and Alexa Ford, and the presentation of certificates by MRHS Principal Jennifer Police.
“Membership in NHS is one of the highest honors a student can achieve,” said MRHS Principal Jennifer Police. “These students have not only proven themselves as scholars, but also as students of exceptional leadership, service, and character. They are future leaders and have made us proud.”
