Parent University: Youth Vaping - Oct. 23, 2019

MRSD held a Parent University on Youth Vaping on October 23, 2019, as part of a multi-pronged approach to educating parents and families on the dangers of vaping. MRSD has partnered with the Barnstable County Department of Human Services' Regional Substance Abuse Council on its Escape the Vape campaign. The county's Substance Use Prevention Manager, Kim Slade, shared information with parents and caregivers about the risks of vaping, how to identify vaping, and how to help young people addicted to vaping. In addition, MRHS Students and MIAA Ambassadors Sarah Babb, Andrew Davock, and Maggie Dever created a video PSA featuring a number of Monomoy student athletes.
