Communications

Positive communication plays a crucial role in nurturing a supportive and collaborative environment between home and school. Effective communication helps ensure that students receive the best possible education and supports. Here are a few reminders for maintaining positive communication between home and school:

Address

Directly

Reach out to your
child's teacher or
school administration directly if you have
a concern

Use
Official Communication Channels

Check the MRSD
website and official
social media accounts
for reliable and
accurate information

Avoid
Social Media During
Conflicts

Engaging in online discussions
does not resolve
concerns or
solve problems

Stay Informed
and
Get Involved

Your active involvement
in your child's education
is vital for their success

If you have a specific question, we ask that you directly contact the teacher, school principal, or other appropriate individual. This contact information can be found in our staff directory. If you are unsure of who to contact, you can send an email to webmaster@monomoy.edu and your question will be routed to the appropriate person or department.

Website

The MRSD website is home to information about our district, our schools, our educators and staff, and also offers a variety of resources. There is a main district site, as well as a site for each school. You can find our website accessibility information here. If you have questions or comments about our website, please email webmaster@monomoy.edu.

Electronic Messages

MRSD uses the Blackboard Communications MassNotifications system to communicate with families in defined groups. This program syncs its recipient data from Aspen, so it's important that families update Aspen with any changes in contact information. Blackboard MassNotifications allows us to send messages to families via email, phone, text, and the Monomoy app.

Monomoy App

The Monomoy app is a free tool to help users connect with MRSD and our schools. The app features news updates, messages, calendars, directory information, and more. It can be downloaded from the Apple Store and the Google Play Store.

Social Media

The Monomoy Regional School District social media accounts are provided for the school community by MRSD. The intent is to create additional means for the district to share photos and videos of school happenings, announce events, spread news, and highlight student and staff achievement. In times of inclement weather that necessitate school closing or other school-related emergencies, our social media accounts and website will be updated in conjunction with alerting families directly and via local media. Find our social media directory here.
