Ms. Joann Tusia - Speech Language Pathologist

Joann Tusia has held license as a Speech Language Pathologist for over four decades. Early in her career, she served for a number of years with United Cerebral Palsy on multidisciplinary teams transforming living conditions and creating opportunity for severely developmentally disabled adults within the 5 boroughs of New York City. As well, as a Peace Corps Volunteer, she established a speech and language clinic in the city of Kwangju, South Korea. With a move to the province of Nova Scotia, Canada, Joann held a position for nine years as an Executive Director where she oversaw and enhanced the activities of 32 vocational service centers for people with disabilities in that same province. More recently, her work has been focused on the provision of therapeutic services for both the birth to 3 year and the school aged population.
