Lindsey Ward - Grade 6 Social Studies

I recently entered the world of education after a 10+ year career in research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and instantly knew this is where I belong. I have lived in Boston for the better part of the last 10 years, with the exception of a few years working in Europe. After years in the city, I moved to the Cape to be closer to family and enjoy the outdoors.   

Last year, I was thrilled about the opportunity to teach 7th grade social studies, and now look forward to another great year in 6th grade! I can't wait to make my students as excited about history as I am. I believe it is essential to understand the past in order to fully understand the present. 

When I am not teaching, I coach the Girl's soccer team at Monomoy High School. l love to have fun and hope that my students leave the year with the understanding that education is as fun as it is important.
