I am Nancy von der Heyde, a retired French, Spanish and English teacher. My family and I are originally from Wayland, MA and I taught in the neighboring town of Weston. The last 11 years of my teaching career I had the privilege of teaching at Chatham High School.

I earned my BA in French from Arcadia College in PA. After spending my Junior Year Abroad I earned a Certificat de Litérature for my undergraduate studies at Université d’Aix-Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, France. I earned my Masters in French from Université Catholique de l’Ouest in Angers, France.

My passion is everything French: language, art, history, music, literature and food. I adore teaching and the thrill of helping young people become global learners. I am keenly familiar with the excellent and well-deserved reputation of Monomoy High School. It will be a pleasure to teach French with you for the academic year 2021-22 and once again to be part of your staff.
