Born and raised in Vermont I am now a 26+ year "wash ashore". I am a life long learner who loves to read, discuss and debate. I especially love being in the sun whether kayaking or skiing  and just spending time with my family.

I love teaching but Social Studies lends itself to developing really good people with my particular strengths; understanding where we come from, where we are going and what our collective and individual responsibilities are to one another.

Before coming to Harwich Middle School in 2000, I taught in Boston and Vermont, both in Special Education and the Primary grades.

My first degree is in Human Development, along with a M.Ed in Elementary Education as well as an additional M.Ed as a Reading Specialist.
