Ms. Beth Dietz - Chemistry

Hi Monomoy! I having been working and living on Cape Cod for the past nine years. I worked in the greater Boston area for thirteen years. I love Cape Cod. I was drawn to the area because of its commitment to environmental sustainability. I live in Truro, MA with my wife Chris, our two children (twins-Bettina and Deborah), our dogs (Lucy & Ethel) and cats (Harry & Lily). We have been experimenting with growing our own food, using solar power and finding ways to pull excess carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere to make carbon nano-fibers (CNFs).

Chemistry is an amazing tool because of the creativity and innovation it brings to solving problems. Chemists take unwanted materials and turn them into products and materials that people want to have (cell phones, internet, clean water, etc). My love of chemistry comes from the possibilities it opens up---healthy food, clean energy and "better living" for everyone.
