John Dickson - History/Social Science

John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government from Harvard University and a Master’s degree in Education from Lesley University. He has been recognized by the Daughters of the American Revolution as the Massachusetts Outstanding Teacher of American History, and was an American Civic Education Teacher of the Year in 2014.

  • Welcome to Monomoy! I teach Eighth Grade Civics (go Blue Team!), and I am the director of the Global Studies program. A couple notes about my classes:

    Google Classroom - All assignments are posted and most are submitted through Google Classroom. Students are given the code to join in class. Parents can use their email to link to their child's classes. If you need to be added, email me at jdickson@monomoy.edu.

    TurnItIn - All essays will be submitted and graded at turnitin.com - students will join this in class. Parents can view through their child's account.
