My name is Beth Connors and I am so happy to be an ESL teacher at Harwich Elementary School.

I have always had a strong dedication to teaching literacy skills and a love for traveling and world cultures. I have been most fortunate to find a teaching position that incorporates my dedication to teaching literacy and interest in languages and cultures. I have taught classes from the Department of Education for teachers of ESL learners such as the Category trainings & RETELL which have given me great insight to effectively support both teachers and ELL students in the classroom.I

I have two Masters of Education and my postgraduate studies have focused on language and literacy development. I hold two B.A’s in Political Science and Spanish and had the opportunity to study abroad and travel to many exciting places.

I am certified in various reading programs such as, Wilson Reading, Project Read, Lindamood-Bell, and Orton-Gillingham. I often integrate a variety of these strategies into my instruction and find them to be a wonderful means to  enhance all aspects of students’ language and literacy development.
