Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Department

Monomoy Regional School District is a community of learners of all ages focused on building knowledge, positive character, and resiliency in a safe, supportive, creative, and challenging environment. The district's curriculum reflects a collaborative, project-based, interdisciplinary approach to learning. We design instruction that helps our students build knowledge, make meaning, and apply understanding to new situations. Each content area builds its curriculum upon a common vision and set of transfer goals, which are reflected in cornerstone tasks that anchor the curriculum and allow students to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways. We encourage cross-disciplinary learning opportunities that foster innovative thinking and develop global awareness.
