Harwich Elementary School will:
Provide high-quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables the participating children to meet the State’s student academic achievement standards. As stated in the MRSD Strategic Plan, “We share a vision of high student expectations and effective teaching, deliver an interdisciplinary curriculum which provides appropriate levels of challenge for each learner, foster strong parent and community partnerships, and promote and celebrate the achievements of all, in order to create a supportive, positive Monomoy culture that will inspire all learners.”
- Hold parent/guardian-teacher conferences in the fall and as requested by families during which this compact will be discussed as it relates to the individual child’s achievement.
- Provide families with frequent reports on their children’s progress. Specifically, the school will provide report cards for each of the three grading term each school year.
- Provide families reasonable access to staff. If you have any questions regarding your child’s progress, please contact your child’s teacher.
- Provide families opportunities to volunteer and participate in their child’s school experience such as the Parent Teacher Organizations (PTOs), School Councils, Task Forces, classroom volunteering, and special school events.
