Per the Harwich Police Dept, beginning Monday, September 21, there will be no turning from South Street on to Parallel Street during Arrival and Dismissal for HES Door 6.
Please turn onto Parallel Street from Forest Street or Sisson Road, and enter the school parking lot by turning left from Parallel Street into the school driveway and proceed to Door 6.
New HES Pick Up Patrol Process: Please Read Carefully
Pick Up Patrol is the program that Harwich Elementary School uses to track the dismissal plan for all of our in-person students.
Regardless of how your student travels to or from HES, this year it is critical that all caregivers set up your student's Pick Up Patrol account to ensure a safe dismissal for every student each day.
Here are the 3 steps to follow to set up your student's dismissal plan:
- Log into Pick Up Patrol - All caregivers should have received an invitation to log into Pick Up Patrol. If you need help, please call our school office at 508-430-7216 to get set up with Pick Up Patrol.
- Set Up your Student's Default Plan This step is new this year. All in-person students must have a Default Plan in Pick Up Patrol which is entered by the caregiver. The Default Plan is how your student is dismissed on a regular basis. For example, if your student goes to the YMCA on Monday and Wednesday, and takes the bus all other days, this is the Default Plan that you will enter. If your student takes Bus 306 home every day, then this is the default plan that you will enter.
- Add Daily Plan Changes when the student's Default Plan changes. For example, an early dismissal to go to a doctor’s appointment would be a Daily Plan Change.
