Amanda (Schuermann) Newcomb is a visual artist, designer, and educator who graduated with her BFA in Art Education from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in December 2011 and her MFA from the Dynamic Media Institute at Mass Art in May 2017. Ms. Schuermann has been teaching art, design, digital photography, and film for over six years and has a background in digital media, interactive/experience design and installation. Prior to Monomoy Regional High School, she taught at Dorchester Academy and Plymouth North High School. Some of her interests outside of her career include sailing, skiing, and traveling. Ms. Schuermann grew up in Brewster, MA and is excited to return to the Cape and join the Monomoy School community as their digital arts teacher.
