Monomoy Regional School District ~ Discrimination and Harrassment Policies
It is the responsibility of the Monomoy Regional School District to identify any child from the age of three to 22, who is a resident of Chatham or Harwich, and who may have a disability regardless of the severity of the disability. It is also the responsibility of the Monomoy Regional Schools to evaluate those students to determine which are eligible for special education or related services under IDEA 2004 (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) or 603 CMR 28.00 (Massachusetts Special Education Regulations).
The Monomoy Regional Schools are committed to locating children before their third birthday in order to provide services for three and four year-olds who may be eligible for special education. If you have questions or concerns regarding your child’s development, please call Cathy Karras at Harwich Elementary School at 508 430-7216 or Melissa Maguire, Director of Student Services, at 508-945-5132.
If you believe that your child at any age should be evaluated to determine eligibility for special education services, you will need to request an evaluation at your neighborhood school. Include your child’s name, address, and date of birth, telephone number and a brief description of your concerns to the principal of your local school. The Monomoy Regional Schools’ Directory is provided below:
