Welcome to the Monomoy Regional School District Curriculum Pages
The Monomoy Regional School District is a community of learners of all ages focused on building knowledge, positive character, and resiliency in a safe, supportive, creative, and challenging environment.
The district's curriculum reflects a collaborative, project-based, interdisciplinary approach to learning. We design instruction that helps our students build knowledge, make meaning, and apply understanding to new situations. For a conceptual view of our curriculum structure, please click here.
Our curriculum and instruction focus on transfer goals and cornerstone tasks that anchor the curriculum and allow students to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways. We encourage cross-disciplinary learning opportunities that foster innovative thinking and develop global awareness.
We are pleased to be working with Jay McTighe, an internationally recognized leader of curriculum design and co-author of Understanding by Design, in the development and revision of our curriculum.
